Ok – so these photos might not yield a thousand bucks but they’re definitely worth 1,000 words and they earned the CEA 2008 Spring Semester winner, Jedd Ticar, $250 and may be featured in the 2009-2010 CEA Viewbook! Congratulations Jedd – your friends, family and fans sent in 870 collective votes for your amazing photo album entry #19 detailing your experiences so far in and around Granada, Spain!
This contest was a huge success, resulting in 21 album entries of some truly remarkable photos capturing more than half of CEA’s international cities and their surrounding areas. And what’s more, the votes tallied almost 2,500, an outstanding result for only one week of voting! It’s been remarkable to see some of the memorable “shots” that represent study abroad through images captured by our talented students. What’s obvious is that each experience is different and each student has a different perspective captured through a different lens. Afterall, isn’t that what studying abroad is all about? Seeing the world through different viewpoints?
We also want to congratulate our 1st runner up, Christina Reynier who submitted entry #13 from her study abroad in Aix-en-Provence, garnering 759 votes.
Thanks to everyone who submitted and voted. The summer photo contest will begin in July, so look on the CEA website for details!
